Arroz Ala Cubana is a Spanish influenced Filipino recipe with seasoned ground beef, fried plantains, and a sunny-side up egg served over white rice, influenced by Latin American flavors.

500 grams ground beef 1.5 cups frozen mixed vegetables 2 tablespoons tomato paste 3 cloves garlic chopped 1 medium red onion chopped 3 tablespoons soy sauce 2 tablespoons oyster sauce 2 tablespoons canola oil ½ cup raisins 5 cup of steamed white rice 5 pieces of plantain regular or medium 5 eggs sunny-side up egg
Cooking the Ground Beef Heat the oil in the pan on medium heat. Once hot, add the chopped onion and garlic. Stir till it turns translucent.
Add the ground beef and stir to mix. Have it cooked till the juice is almost evaporated.
Pour the soy sauce and oyster sauce. Stir to combine
Add the tomato paste and mix it gently.
Add the frozen mixed vegetables and raisins. Stir for a few minutes.
Frying the Plantain Remove the skin and slice the plantain into two or three.
Add the vegetable oil to the pan. Once hot, fry the plantain on both sides till it turns golden brown.
Remove and drain them on paper towels. Set it aside.
Assembling the Arroz Ala Cubana Placed a serving of white steamed rice on a plate. And then followed by the seasoned ground beef mixture on the side of the rice
Top with the sunny-side-up egg and place the fried plantains on the side too.
You can add bell pepper, olives or capers
